The service
UNBEHAV (“we”, “us”) provides a mobile app and related website features (including share previews and a beta waitlist) that let people post short text thoughts tied to a coarse geographic area, read area feeds, join threads, and attach allowed social links (for example X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, or Bluesky — not arbitrary websites). The app and website are available in English and Arabic. We may also show editorial readings composed from an area’s recent thoughts, and related comments on those readings, where those features are available.
There are no private messages, media uploads, public profiles, or random pairing. We are not a chat, dating, or stranger-matching service. You post anonymous text to a public local feed. New posts are published promptly and may be reviewed, hidden, or removed afterward (including after reports). UNBEHAV does not charge for use of the service; there is no paid subscription or in-app purchase.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use UNBEHAV. The app includes an age screen at first launch. If you are under 13, do not use the service. You must also comply with the laws that apply to you where you live and where you use the service.
Before you post
Before your first post, the app asks you to accept these community rules. By posting you agree not to share:
- Illegal content under any law that applies to you or to the service (including, without limitation, the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other jurisdictions where you use the service)
- Harassment or threats
- Hate directed at people or groups
- Sexual content involving minors
- Spam or deceptive bulk content
- Anyone’s private information (doxxing, non-public personal data)
We moderate content after it is posted: we may remove or hold posts that break these rules, auto-hide content that receives enough distinct reports, and limit or ban devices that abuse the service (including using install identifiers and platform device-integrity checks). We do not guarantee that every violation is caught. We may notify authors when content is removed.
Your content
You keep whatever rights you have in the text you post. You grant UNBEHAV a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt (for example, for area words and readings), and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the service. That license ends for content you delete (including deleting an individual thought or reply, or using Settings → Delete all my thoughts), subject to reasonable residual copies in backups and legal holds.
You represent that you have the rights needed to post what you post, and that it does not violate these terms or applicable law.
Readings and automated processing
Where available, area words and readings are generated with automated systems (language models) from anonymous thoughts in an area. They are editorial composites, not news reporting, and may be incomplete or imperfect. Report them the same way you report other content if they violate these terms. We may also use automated systems to assist review of reported content. Posts and replies are published promptly and may be reviewed afterward.
Reports and blocking
You can report thoughts and replies. Where readings and comments on readings are available, you can report those too. You can hide an author’s content for your anonymous account. We aim to review reports within 24 hours; volume and abuse may delay review.
For illegal content, use the in-app illegal-content report path or email contact@unbehav.com with enough detail to locate the content (link or identifier, why it is illegal, and how we can reach you). Ordinary community reports for harassment, spam, and similar issues use the standard report action.
If you are in the European Union, additional notice-and-action rules under the EU Digital Services Act may apply. Our contact points for users and authorities under that Regulation are published on the Contact page. Reporting is available to users worldwide.
Accounts and identity
UNBEHAV uses anonymous authentication. There is no public username. We may still associate content and moderation actions with an anonymous account and device-level abuse keys so the service can function and stay safe. Resetting local state or deleting content does not guarantee evasion of bans or rate limits.
Acceptable use of the website
Do not scrape, overload, or attack our systems; do not attempt to access non-public APIs or other users’ data; and do not use automated means to join the waitlist in bulk without our written permission.
Intellectual property
The UNBEHAV name, product design, software, and content we create (not user-generated content) are owned by us or our licensors. Third-party data and fonts are credited on the Legal & attributions page. You may not copy the product or brand in a way that confuses people about who operates UNBEHAV.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that content is accurate, available, or uninterrupted, or that moderation will catch every violation. User-generated content reflects the authors, not UNBEHAV’s views.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UNBEHAV and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (if any) or (b) fifty US dollars (US $50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify UNBEHAV against claims arising from your content or your misuse of the service, to the extent permitted by law.
Termination
You may stop using UNBEHAV at any time. In Settings you can permanently erase your anonymous account and associated server content via Delete all my thoughts. Clearing local state on the device does not delete content for everyone else and does not reset bans or rate limits. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another jurisdiction’s laws. Courts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the service, except that (a) we may seek injunctive or other relief in any forum to protect the service or our rights, and (b) if mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection law in your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights still apply to the extent required. Nothing in this section limits your ability to file a complaint with a competent data-protection authority where the law allows.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date below will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your data in Settings.
